Dear Macarthur Baseball Community,

We need your help.

Our 2025–26 season import, Luke Masiuk, was set to join the Macarthur Orioles family with a host already lined up. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, that family has had to withdraw — leaving Luke without a place to stay as the season approaches.

Luke is a talented outfielder from Connecticut, USA, with an outstanding collegiate career at Northeastern University and Hofstra University. Beyond the diamond, he is a respectful, responsible, and mature young man who will make a wonderful addition to the right household.

🏡 What’s involved in hosting?
Host families provide a spare room, some meals, and a welcoming environment. In return, you’ll be supporting a rising athlete in his journey — and gaining a new member of your family and our baseball community.

This is a rewarding opportunity to play a direct role in Luke’s Australian baseball experience. Without a new host family, we cannot give him the warm Macarthur welcome he deserves.



🔍 𝗪𝗵𝗼 𝗶𝘀 𝗟𝘂𝗸𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝘀𝗶𝘂𝗸? Luke hails from Trumbull, Connecticut, and brings with him an exceptional baseball résumé, built through years of hard work, leadership, and athletic performance. Standing at 6’1" and 200 lbs, he’s a powerful right-handed outfielder known for his strong throwing arm, smart base running, and reliable bat.

Luke was a four-year varsity player at Trumbull High School, where he was also a two-time team captain, earned All-Conference honours, and was recognised among the Top 300 high school players in the U.S. by national scouting outlets.

He began his collegiate career at Northeastern University before transferring to Hofstra University, where his game reached new heights. In the 2024 season, Luke started 50 of 51 games, and his stat line speaks volumes:
• .262 batting average
• 16 doubles (team leader)
• 4 home runs
• 28 RBIs
• 27 runs scored
• 13 stolen bases
• .421 slugging percentage
• .336 on-base percentage


He also logged multiple multi-hit games, delivered clutch hits in late innings, and showed consistent defensive range across the outfield. In one standout game, he went 2-for-4 with a double and 2 RBIs, showcasing his ability to perform under pressure.

Off the field, Luke is equally impressive. A dedicated student, he’s been named to the Dean’s List, earned Hofstra’s Academic Director’s Award, and is completing a degree in Management with a minor in Finance.

Host families provide a spare room, some meals, and a warm, supportive environment. In return, you’ll be gaining a respectful, kind, and engaging housemate who will become a part of your family and your baseball community.

Luke is mature beyond his years, focused, responsible, and appreciative of every opportunity that comes his way. He’s the kind of guest who’s easy to live with—and hosting him is a chance to make a meaningful connection while supporting a young athlete living out his dream.
